From 08:00 am 27.06.07 to 06:00 pm 28.06.07 you had an unique opportunity to see the principles of democracy and the application of justice in real life. Without any warning nor explanation the servers of websupport.sk hosting (where even Airdump.Net runs) were confiscated by the Slovakian police.
On the websupport.sk hosting operates around 3500 companies and institutions. All of them were by the police put aside from theirs datas without the possibility to turn on the backup files. This unprecedented act effected hundreds of international and Czecho - Slovak AirDump.Net users. At it is obvious that among the whole websupport.sk hosting this barbarian act effected thousands and thousands users worlwide. This act evokes the 50s in the former Soviet Union.
We are the witnesses of controversial techniques of the police and court regulary. At the same time we see the police and court to encroach on human rights. There does not exist an independent instituion that would investigate false steps and penal offences of the police in the Czech and Slovak Republic. This makes things even worse and differences Czech and Slovak Republic from the other more developed countries. In here the police is investigated by the police :-)
The sample.. There are new strict principles about high-principled traffic in the Czech Republic now. There was established a systems based on points and the fines were increased ten times. After a traffic violation you loose points. You loose them even for bad parking and a serious traffic violation counts for 6 points. When you loose 12 points you loose your drivers licence till the end of the year. And as a bonus you of course get the fine as well. Few months after this rough principle was approved one editor shot on a videocamera the president of the Czech police driving his BMW. The allowed speed in Czech and Slovak republic is 130 km/h. The speed of this Mr. President's car was 190 km/h. This traffic violation thing was not solved because it was not monitored by a certificated eguipment (radar). On the other hand the police used the same evidence to start the investigation with the editor. They worked out that if the editor was able to film the president his car had to go the same or higher speed:-) The situation was realy embarrassing. So the president himself decided to act adequately to the situation. No, he did not demit. He devoted to charity half of his monthly salary. Isn't this generous? The problem was solved. He did not loose his job neither his driver licence. Normal citizen would end up much worse.
The next incident is from Slovakia and it might be related to the confiscated servers where AirDump.Net normaly runs.
One year ago the police confiscated a server from the community hysteria.sk This server was about linux, hacking and was connecting hundreds of people from Czech and Slovakia.
What happened before?
On hysteria.sk were published some texts about The National Security Authority – NBU -> Narodni Bezpecnostni Urad (similar to american NSA) and their gappy net. Computers where are thousands of confidential materials were protected by the password nbusr123. An unknow person broke :-) this password and loged in their network. This event just showed the misery of the state administration and set laughing even PC non-professionals. Under this occasion the police confiscated the server hysteria.sk. They held it for 7 months !!! without letting the users to use their data. Let me just mention that till this date the police did not find anything.
It is also worth mentioning about the legendary police hit against young people (15-25 years old) at the techno party. This techno party took place on a properly rented area in the Czech republic. But the police evaluated the situation differnetly. According to the police the techno party participants were also using private and not rented parts. After some call-ups the police attact the crowd. They were aiming guns at halfnaked and unarmed young people even when they were listening to their orders (hands above had) It is nice to watch a short document from this incident. Under the feet of fully armed policemen is lying a ironbound person. An other policeman comes and he is kicking the lying a ironbound person. :) Till this day not one of the attacking policemen were punished.
The biggest internet provider in Czech Republic UPC canceled in 2006 the proxy server proxy.chelo.cz even though it was a transparent proxy.
The government accepted a principle which forces each mobile operator to steel your every word and store it for six months.
I would also like to stress the prosecution of GPG author, principle novel being prepared in Germany that wants to put against the law network such as TOR, then the terrible struggle between the media and software monopol companies.
In the nowdays czech and slovak history since 1989 there was never solved one single complaint of the police technigues. In the case when a video recording was existing or there was a evidence of a higher number of witnesses the policeman was punished. But the punishment was rather ridiculous. The police in the Czech and Slovak Republic can not be sanctioned and takes a lot of advantage of it.
Even in the French medieval times the aristocracy found out that 15 years of forced labour or the punishment of death for steeling a bread is not a punishment but a revenge.
Making the principles more strict does not solve things. The number of car accidents is now in the Czech Republic even higher than before approving the „point system“ and the high fines. Application of the „Stalin“ group quilt, steeling the privacy and pokeing state fingers into citizens ass makes the things look more fancy.
