In the publishing house Syngress the book Linksys Ultimate Hacking was released. The writer is page after page digestedly explaining all tricks, configurations and alt hacks. (for all remake of AP Linksys into spectrum analyzer). It is realy worth reading.
For the very first time it documents the complete set of third-part firmware, including difference and configuration. In the book there is mentioned every hardware revision, including WRTSL54GS model. As a bonus the instruction for porting and own software development for OpenWRT is published in the book. The possibility to run the application Kismet classifies this piece of hadrware among the searched Wardrive Box and the functional net analysis makes it the top in the net-security Wi-Fi sector.
